HMS Pegasus - by Amati [COMPLETED BUILD]

The last step of the build is complete except for some trim around the bottom of the case. A local plastics fabricator made it for $225 using 3/16th inch acrylic with polished edges. It must weigh 20 lbs. A little steep but now I don't have to worry about dust and catastrophic accidents. I made the base from 1/4" birch veneer plywood cut to the ID of the case and stained. Then cut a piece 3/4" plywood 3/16" larger than the case and glued the two pieces together. The case sits on the ridge and the last step is to add some moulding to hide the edges of the plywood.

My Fleet is growing. Where to put them is getting to be a challenge.
You will find a place, also for the future models - otherwise I will send you an address in Vienna (i know by accident) ;)

Absolutely fantastic build without any doubt. You have done it right -in my poor point of view- not adding the sails, as these will cover many details. One of your Pic, I now use as a Screen saver.
p,s. let me know about your next project

Looking very very good
Congratulations for finishing her
I hope you have found already a place for her - otherwise I am ready to solve your "problem"

And now? Already a new project in mind?

Congrats on your accomplishment! BottleExplosionFirst Place Metal She is gorgeously beautiful and well made! Thumbs-Up

I am sure, you don't want to take a rest and have another model floating in your mind. What it will be if not secret?
