Hello Heinrich, Thanks for your very kind words and Likes. Yes we East Coast Canadians do like a lot of coffee. It helps to start the day, and also it helps to warm one up after a full day on the cold water especially with a Tot of Rum added.

You East-Canadians must have Dutch roots; I can’t think of any other nation with so many cafein yunks as the Netherlands. Although, the rum? CoffeeBeer

Hello Peter, Yes, we are not fond of instant coffee at all. I suppose it would make a fine wood stain but I have yet to give it a try, could be as we never have it it in our home. But I have used tea to stain sails.

Yes we East-Coast Canadians sure do like our coffee. With a tot of rum added it makes a great drink to end a Great Day especially when setting around a camp fire.

Did use both coffee and tea to try and stain rope. Wasn't the success I hoped for...

Hello Johan. No I also have not tried to stain rope with coffee. But I have used thin down water pant to do with great success, but it is a bit messy to do so.

Hello Ship Mates, The little fellows and I continue to find a little time to work in our Old Ship Yard between our house hold chores. We have built and dry fitted the Foc'sel set of stairs or I should say ladder to the ships Galley and mess haul. To these stairs we have also added a pair of hand rails.

Hello Peter, Thanks for your very kind words. Yes those round holes in the beams will allow me to install my Led Lighting at a much later time. I will be able to use a much smaller hole down the deck that will contain just the wires.

I think I have given Nescafe more publicity than I have any ship model. They must be ecstatic to have so many comments made about them and you know what they say - there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Hello Heinrich, Thanks for your visit and also for your comments. I used to think that Nescafe was the answer to coffee, but then my Admiral bought us a perk and we have never gone back and that is around 60 years ago, It's to late now.

My friend, in China coffee is so low on the list of priorities, it doesn't even make the list. So, if Nescafe is the only coffee that you can find regularly, and the best that you can afford, then it tastes very good - believe me.

Been in China a couple of times. Day long meetings, without any coffee, just Chinese tea.
Although, once in Beijing, our hosts knew we, westerners, love our coffee and they made sure there was plenty of it and not tasting bad either.

Hi Lawrence. Nice set. Would you know what grit these are? Most comein either 250 and 600 grit but I don't know what is typically needed for ship model building? Thanks!

Hello Boshaken, Thanks for your visit to my build log. I am not sure on the grit of these files. I do believe they are around 150 grit as they are a fairly rough file and do cut rather fast. I also have a much finer set that looks like around 500 that I use to finish up with. I find a verity of grits seams to work good for me
