POF L'Amarante Corvette de 12 canons 1744 1:36 (Ancre Monograph- Gérard Delacroix) By Shota

Good evening dear friends
In the last few weeks I haven't been able to find enough time to work on the ship.
The main thing I managed to do is re-create the crossbeams of the forward upper deck in the bow.
I did this because I wasn't 100% satisfied with the shade of the local pear.
So this time I created it from European pear, and the results are noticeable accordingly.
Wishing everyone a pleasant and enjoyable weekendView attachment 561972View attachment 561973

A nice combination of various connections, Shota. A lot of work but with a very nice outcome.
Regards, Peter

Tight joinery. Absolutely lovely.
Good evening Shota.
Well done. I also love the joinery.
Wish you a very nice weekend too.
The contrast between the European Pear and the Local Pear is impressive...good choice!!

Your joints and accuracy are an inspiration to all. Thanks for sharing!!!

Good morning Shota. Excellent, excellent. Cheers Grant
Very nice work Shota, curious to see what the results of the French square bolts is.
Dear friends, forgive me for the delay in my response, you warmed my heart with your comments, thanks for the compliments and the kind words

Good evening my dear friends :)

For the last two weeks I have been working on repairing the Beam arms. If you remember I made an initial version from local pear wood, but I didn't like the shade as much and I made a mistake in the direction of the wood fibers. So I made new ones from Swiss pear wood.

after that I have made more parts on the upper deck of the bow.
I started by making the Mast bits.
I had to make a second version because the first one didn't turn out to my satisfaction as you can see in the comparative picture.

The reason for this is that I was unable to fix the parts to the milling surface stably. The solution I found for you is to create precise recesses in a way that is adapted to the part, including gluing to the bottom with double-sided adhesive.

I have not yet installed the metal parts such as the screws and brass wheels, this will happen soon when the shipment arrives.
I wish everyone a pleasant and enjoyable weekend

You made some nice pieces of art, Shota.

Good result. Next time, simply apply double-sided reinforced tape. You can find it at any hardware store. Elements won't move, 2cm of contact with the surface is enough.
my dear friend
I thank each of you personally for the comments, expressions of support, and compliments.
I'm glad you liked it.
