While I'm using Google Chrome, I can highlight the foreign language text and right click on it and one of the possible replies is "Translate section to English".

Forgive my ignorance, is there some kind of translator built into this forum or is it a simple matter of copying and pasting Günter's Text into some third party software. Or Alan... do you just speak fluent German?

Well, that took a lot longer than I expected
Apart from the slow progress due to hand pain as previously mentioned, the masking, painting and touching up of the gun ports took some time. I ended up getting 1.5mm hard wood strip to bring the gun port linings flush with the internal planking (sanding down as required) A couple of things I did that were not done in the video, I filled the gaps on the 2 or 3 gun ports that were not directly touching the upright framing and also painted out the framing down to the hold, making a change of colour from white to brown at the line of the orlop deck. I contacted AL regarding the make etc of the small chuck and extension bar they used for drilling gun tackle holes from opposite side of ship, but thus far I have no reply, but searching through my modelling tool boxes for a short pin vice I found a 90 degree angled bar with a hex drive at one end and pin vice at the other, which made light work of drilling all those holes

I’d forgotten I even had it or where I got it from, It was possibly Micro Mark in the USA, I did buy quite a bit from them back in the day, but I checked their web site and it’s not listed. This is the first time I’ve ever used it in 20 odd years
It's like the scrap of wood you keep in the garage for twenty years, you just never know when you will need it. Sorry for the previous typo Alan not Akan! 
I realize it is too late now, but for the future, unlike the exterior planking, the planking of the inboard bulwarks always covered the edges of the linings/stops. This can be seen on contemporary models such as the one below made in 1800. The drawings below are from in Volme 2 of The Fully Framed Model page 69,by David Antscherl.

Although I didn’t realise that’s the prototypical way to do it, that’s exactly what I ha planned to do on the next deck by fitting the linings before doing the internal planking
But that’s not how they show it in the video
