"Oh cometh to thee, the one with hammer and wood. And build an Empire of ships that could". Grant, you have the eye of a fine honed chisel. Bravo, my friend!
Good morning Bill. Thank you kindly. Slowly slowly she is starting to look like a Xebec."Oh cometh to thee, the one with hammer and wood. And build an Empire of ships that could". Grant, you have the eye of a fine honed chisel. Bravo, my friend!
Good morning. Thank you. I have considered this and it makes sense that some form of windlass would be on this ship. Unfortunately the way Occre’s boat is designed there is no room for a windlass. Cheers GrantHi.beautiful work.I'm thrilled.will you put a windlass?I found such a drawing for requin 1751

The deck is coming more and more alive, Grant. You will certainly be happy that the cannons are literally and figuratively set aside and you can continue with the construction.Ok enough off the topic - back to Grants Xebec: this morning I could fit the bell tower, pumps and main deck cleat I had previously made. The mast is dry fitted as I like to rig as much as possible off the ship. I did add the cleats for the running rigging to mast - 4 of them.

Good morning Ken. Thank you. I have had a roller coaster ride with my Xebec trying to get things looking good, in the style I want however I am very happy how she is starting to come together. Good morning Bill. Thank you. Ahh, I did cheat a bitTwo things I do not see here - fuzzy wood and fuzzy rope! I have to keep reminding myself this is an Occre kit! Stunning work my friend![]()
never say never.....until you try, you never know, JackWell that's me never building a Xebec. Could never get close to your one Grant. Cheers JJ..
Good afternoon Peter. Thank you - coming from you it means loads. I will do that when I finish the anchors. Thanks for pointing this out to me. Cheers GrantI don't see anything to improve. Love the pumps and the bell tower. Only thing you need to change is the position where the anchor cable goes through the grating. I would use the first opening and not the second opening of the grating.
Good afternoon Jack. That I doubt. You would make your Xebec look so realistic…..I appreciate the compliment tho. Cheers GrantWell that's me never building a Xebec. Could never get close to your one Grant. Cheers JJ..
