Dito, indeed, looks excellent!
There is just so much excellence in this build it's hard to know what to comment on. A WIN for Justin!
it just looks good, real good....
Very impressive work Grant
Congratulations
Good morning Gentlemen. Thank you very much indeed. Your encouragement is always motivating. Much appreciated.Getting right colors is a tricky task and you nailed it
Dito, indeed, looks excellent!
Good morning Jan and Jim. As my comment above. I appreciate you guys. Thanks again.Superb, the "Restoration" just gets better and better.

Thank you Roger. I have given it my best shot and so far am happy. Plenty errors and cover ups however my son will enjoy this in his home. Cheers GrantJust stumbled onto this. You just proved the old saying wrong! You really can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!
Roger
…….. My punishment for breaking the contract : I have to give this Bounty to Justin for his home. That is only a pleasure…..best punishment ever.
Cheers Grant
Thank you kindly Roger. This is truly great work Grant and the proof is, of course, Justin wanting to proudly display it in his home.
You didn’t mention a display case but you could always challenge him to build one himself at zero cost .
Brilliant idea….as I am particularly poor at building display casesYou didn’t mention a display case but you could always challenge him to build one himself at zero cost .
Good morning Mark. Thanks ....I think. Boy I'm glad my standards are at the level of some of the guys on SOS or I would continuously get a rollocking . Cheers GrantGreat work Grant, always a pleasure to look at your postings. Of course, this is the standard we have now come to expect. You have set a benchmark which we will now, by the natural order of things, take for granted. If you maintain or even improve on this high standard then all you can expect is a 'Meh, we expect that from you Mr Tyler'. If you drop below the line, of course, you are subject to a rollocking which we will feel obliged to give you
Thank you kindly. I like to add some detail, however I do get limited by size. I know where my skill level fails and I stop there. One day, hopefully, I will learn to work with the real tiny.Beautiful work. The attention to detail is amazing.
Great skill Grant. So neat.
Good morning Smithy. Thank you very much indeed. Much appreciated. This build (for that's what it is) is akin to restoring a rusty old jeep by jacking up the windscreen wipers and sliding a Ferrari underneath them. Most excellent woodworking, masterful stuff.
But no cost? You should charge by the hour.
Good morning Dean. Thank you for the compliment. An improvement indeed although it wasn't too difficult to improve on the original. There is plenty which I could have done better (hind sight that perfect science) however I think I can "blur" out the flaws with a mass of rigging and ropes...... . I am keen to try and make a supper busy deck etc with a mass of ropes. Time will tell. Cheers GrantGreat work Grant! Everything looks beautiful, a definite improvement.
Good morning Sergey. Thank you for checking out my renovation and the compliment. I agree re the recoils after looking at them again. I did something wrong with the measurements as my first one is correct and the others too short. I dislike rigging cannons so very much….so the big question is can I motivate myself to redo 3 of them . Thanks for the heads up. Cheers GrantGreat work, amazing! The 'before and after' difference is like night and day! I'm subscribing! Just one remark: the recoil ropes on the cannons (the one that is fixed at the end of the cannon) should be longer. Google the principle of how cannons work and the reloading mechanism, and it'll become clear. Other than that, the ship model is fantastic.
Gorgeous restoration of the ship. They look gorgeous together!!! I love these views))Good afternoon Guys
I have had very little time to do anything personal of late, especially play in my shipyard. I guess life goes like that sometimes.
Just to show I’m still alive I thought I would post some fun pics of when my Victory was being prepped for its display case vs my Bounty. It shows what a beast of a ship the Victory was vs the tiny Bounty.
Scale : Victory 1:78 vs Bounty 1:50

You will see I have been dabbling with a foremast on the Bounty. Note- the mast are WIP….
For @dockattner (Paul) ….double bubble wrap…..
Hopefully I will be able to catch up with your guys logs and have some more time on my Bounty soon.
Cheers Grant
