HMS ALERT 1777 cutter POF by shota70 [COMPLETED BUILD]

hi Dear friends
In the last few days I am not working on the model because I am traveling in Japan, a really beautiful country and lovely people. In the meantime, I recommend that you watch my recommendation for a visit to the Maritime Museum in Koba as well as the Carpentry Art Museum.

Remember this phrase: (phonetically)
Cheety gami doko desu ka? - it translates to "Where is the toilet paper!"

you will find more photos in the Museum report made by @shota70

There is a plate saying, that the model is in scale 1:8

Dear Shota. I had a lot to catch up on. Your Alert is coming along beautifully below deck with all the wall partitionings, doors and furniture that are being added. I am sure that you are thoroughly enjoying all these details. Enjoy your time in Japan - we all look forward to when you return to the Alert.

Thank you Shota!

Hello Shota, are you still in Japan?
If you come to Kobe, make sure to stretch your legs and see Himeji Castle and the Shinkansen bullet train passing through Himeji Station at 250km.
Also, there are many cheap and delicious foods in Japan, so please eat a lot.

Hello dear friends
After a three week of break from the making the ship model, I returned today to this fun activity.
As you remember the week before the trip I worked on creating the officers' travel cases/box. The first was closed and the second a box and lid, the contents of which were milled to produce a model of a real box as much as possible.
I started today by creating the nail markings that strengthened the box panels, after which I created the metal strips that added reinforcement and decoration to the crate.
Later I created the handles and the locking mechanism (I created a relatively simple mechanism). finally I applied oil to the closed box and I only applied it to the open one after the photos.
I will let you get an impression of the process and the result through the pictures.
I wish you all a pleasant and enjoyable weekend  :D
