HMS ALERT 1777 cutter POF by shota70 [COMPLETED BUILD]

good evening dear friends T
oday I started making a new item from ebony wood. This time I want to start with a short quiz, I attach the parts I sawed and you are asked in a sporting spirit to evaluate and even guess what I will create from them? :D :pROTF

Hello dear friends
After a three week of break from the making the ship model, I returned today to this fun activity.
As you remember the week before the trip I worked on creating the officers' travel cases/box. The first was closed and the second a box and lid, the contents of which were milled to produce a model of a real box as much as possible.
I started today by creating the nail markings that strengthened the box panels, after which I created the metal strips that added reinforcement and decoration to the crate.
Later I created the handles and the locking mechanism (I created a relatively simple mechanism). finally I applied oil to the closed box and I only applied it to the open one after the photos.
I will let you get an impression of the process and the result through the pictures.
I wish you all a pleasant and enjoyable weekend  :D

Hello dear friends
I started milling and sanding pieces of ebony wood in order to make a desk and a chair for the officers' room.
At first I sanded and smoothed the pieces, then I marked with a pencil the areas which I later milled using the Mf70.
The intention is to build a desk with a 4-drawer cabinet and a socket/
longitudinal space where the officers will place maps or books.
I milled the area of the drawers to a depth of a 1.2 millimeter approximately, into which the front part of the drawer from pear or walnut wood will be inserted.
I milled the table and top panel of the cabinet in a way that creates a stepped cornice.
I'm in the middle of the process, I'm still supposed to prepare legs for the table as well as a matching chair.
For now, enjoy the process and the intermediate result.

Hello Shota my friend, nice to see that you returned safely from beautiful Japan. Your chest looks great, as does the decor for the officer's room, very impressive.

Good Afternoon Shota. So good! If we could make it bigger I could put my Victory on it;). Cheers Grant

Hello dear friend's
I am pleased to report that the captain's writing desk and chair have been completed and installed in the room.
Today I made the seat and the backrest from two pieces of ebony wood as well as the legs of the chair. With the mf70 I created a long groove/depression at the bottom of the 2 panels, so that the connection between the seat and the backrest will be stable when glued.
I created grooves in the back of the chair, inspired by a picture of a captain's chair from the 18th century. Next I created and attached the legs of the chair. And finally I installed the table, chair and trunks on deck and in the officers' quarters.
I plan to make another bed/beds and thus complete the furniture in the rooms.
I wish you all a pleasant and enjoyable weekend :)
