HMS ALERT 1777 cutter POF by shota70 [COMPLETED BUILD]

Now that the windlass is put together it is even more impressive. The photos show off your skills really well.
Dear Roger
thank you very much for your support and compliments, it's great to know that friends like you appreciate my work :)

hello dear friends
After several days of work the front winch is installed in the bow, including the deck around it (not fully/continuously).
I worked a lot on the adjustments between all the many parts of the winch, adjustment to the parts in the upper deck as well as into the lower deck.
I will let you get an impression of the result as I recorded in the pictures.
wish you all a pleasant day

Good evening Shota. Ok…..this is brilliant. I really enjoy the detail and the style in which your Alert is built and the winch is special. Stunning. Cheers Grant

good evening dear friends
In the last few days I focused on preparing the hatch coamings with trellises/lattice.
I understood that it will be better to prepare all of them first and only then proceed with the installation of the deck boards.
The truth is that the instruction manual explains simple how to build them, so I recommend using it.
I painted the frames of the hatch in black and the bars with teak oil.
the parts of the trellis/lattice were laser marked in very good quality!
I am attaching photos of the first two hatches that are ready to install (there are 5, the third with the cover that can be moved on a rail in preparation).
Tomorrow I will participate in the meeting with our group of ship model builders in my country, I am happy for the meeting with these dear people. :)
Have a nice evening for all of us

That’s a impressive good looking windlass, Shota. I do like the colors of the supports.
