HMS ENTERPRISE by Keith 1:48 scale. New Kit from M.D.

The more I see of this kit the less worried I am about finding a great build when the time/age comes to close my little wood shop and sell most of my tools.
Well done.
Allan

A few more frames done, 1 to 13 now. The hull is slowly taking shape. It will be like this for a while, with not a lot happening, just the ship growing slowly before our eyes which I myself find fascinating with the shift pattern of the futtocks. All the frames are dry fit at the moment. I think I'll go to about frame 20, then go back and concentrate on the bow cant frames for a change of scenery before completing the stern section

Dear Keef
Great work, the frames that you are creating looking wonderful and giving beautiful shape for the hull

these frames should be nailed together Frank
With the futtocks having reduced sidings, filling pieces were packed in the gap between the adjacent futtocks and then nailed fore and aft through the futtocks and filling pieces as you mention. Then a hole was bored through the spacer for air. I cannot see this hole or the fore and aft bolts being done at our scales, but the filling pieces themselves will show. What I cannot find is how many spacers were used or how far apart they were.
