Beautiful ! Nice tight seams, lovely bevel and good consistent spacing between the frame halves ! It looks perfect !A few photos of frame number 1, sanded and dry fitted into the cradle. Will next concentrate on working towards the stern from frame 8. Extremely impressed with the accuracy of this kit so far

Hi Keef , just for news/information , these frames should be nailed together FrankA few more frames done, 1 to 13 now. The hull is slowly taking shape. It will be like this for a while, with not a lot happening, just the ship growing slowly before our eyes which I myself find fascinating with the shift pattern of the futtocks. All the frames are dry fit at the moment. I think I'll go to about frame 20, then go back and concentrate on the bow cant frames for a change of scenery before completing the stern section

Thanks Frank. I'm sure you are correct but I don't think I have the patience required for that little detail. I'm sure someone will thoughHi Keef , just for news/information , these frames should be nailed together Frank

The hull alone is almost 1meterjust curious but how long will the boat be when it`s done? 36 inches?
Thank you. Yes I totally agree. It's great fun to work on tooLovely lines. Something mesmerising about the ribs. Symmetry is lovely.

Thank you my friend. Great t hear from you again. Hope all is wellDear Keef
Great work, the frames that you are creating looking wonderful and giving beautiful shape for the hull
With the futtocks having reduced sidings, filling pieces were packed in the gap between the adjacent futtocks and then nailed fore and aft through the futtocks and filling pieces as you mention. Then a hole was bored through the spacer for air. I cannot see this hole or the fore and aft bolts being done at our scales, but the filling pieces themselves will show. What I cannot find is how many spacers were used or how far apart they were.these frames should be nailed together Frank
Probably because as Keith mentioned above he dies not have the patience for these detailesWith the futtocks having reduced sidings, filling pieces were packed in the gap between the adjacent futtocks and then nailed fore and aft through the futtocks and filling pieces as you mention.
