Try tu use motheod on this site. http://leggshipmodeling.blogspot.com/2009/11/caulked-deck-for-wooden-ship-model.html. It will not be necessary to glue every piece of paper separately.A little update on planking and caulking, actually the caulking simulation takes up most of the time, glueing the paper on the edge of each plank .
Good hint - yes - this is the way I am gluing the paper against one side of the plankTry tu use motheod on this site. http://leggshipmodeling.blogspot.com/2009/11/caulked-deck-for-wooden-ship-model.html. It will not be necessary to glue every piece of paper separately.

I stacked up 10 planks, applied Pva glue on the paper and placed the stacked planks on it secured them by clamps. After drying I trimmed the paper and separated one plank with an Exacto knife.
The Friesland is spectacular!See here the red ochre on the Friesland. I used red ochre for the large bullwarks, gun ports etc and red for the carvings and details.
