HMS Ontario 1780 scale 1:32 POB full version

Surprising. Cabinetmakers say that PVA does not work with teak because of the high oil content. I also had a bad experience once with an old shipmodel which I had to restore. PVA did not work, I had to use epoxy.

Hello Zolly, just catching up on your build log. Your decking sure is looking great, well done. I have a couple of questions that is if you do not mind and they are. How are you cutting your scarf joints, on a jig or in a mill? What type of paper are you using for the caulk lines, I tried this many years ago with very little success? Thanks.
Regards Lawrence

Thank you Lawrence,I did not use any jig or mill,I cut the margin planks with a scroll saw, left some meat on them than used my files to shape scarf joints to match each other. For caulking, I am using regular black construction paper.

Deck planking preparation moving ahead ,I cut more planks to size ,not sure if they are enough, will see as I glue them down, also there will be two wider row of planks each side ,regular 6mm ,wider ones 9mm,I used my band saw to cut 9mm wide strips.
