Thanks, Peter. This is also due to you. You provided me with excellent wood to make the rigging blocks. Without your help the model would stay at the hull level.

Do these look enough convincing? These are top mast shrouds called I think. I can’t continue the work till feel good about it.

May I ask did you use wire for your hooks and if so, what size/gauge? Did you make a jig of some sort for forming them?

When making hooks I use copper wire of various gauges. Purchase them on Amazon. For forming I just use round nose pliers. I purchased smallest jaw diameter pliers available and reduced the jaws even further.

I am also allergic to CA glue and have another glue that has no fumes, sets in about 15 seconds, fills minor holes and is quite strong. It is made by Bob Smith Industries (https://bsi-inc.com/) and is called Super Gold and is available from many sources. It does not run. It comes with a plastic applicator that delivers a small dot of the glue. I have used it for many years with no problems.

I discovered these cheap brass tubes on AliExpress. They are only about $5 Canadian. They are 1 mm diameter. Good for thimbles. See attached pictures.

Thanks, etubino. I admit very slow progress. Blaming lack of time, sometimes research takes long time too. Reading N. Longridge The Anatomy of Nelson's ships texts is sometimes very difficult and confusing. Rigging work is by far more difficult than working on the hull.
