I agree with Heinrich. That rigging is to marvelous to hide with sails.I fully agree with you on a no-sails Grant's Victory. To hide all that marvelous rigging would be sacrilege.
Marvelous rigging. Make the fun photo outside against a cloudy sky and she will come to life even more.Good afternoon. Very little to report. Finished the stays for the foremast. I knew the back stays would be a little cramped as the Mantua channel did not consider all the stays 4 rather than 7.

Good morning. Thanks Martin for this.Hi Guys.
I saw this the other day and though 'what a great tool.
Maybe you guys might be interested in possibly making your own version.
I would keep this in mind and not to forget - I have also my doubts, if they would have belayed two ropes overlapping - so to handle one, you have also to open the second oneI untidily wrapped the falls around the bits. I’m debating redoing these more neatly. As both the inner and outer buntlines belay to the same point Grants hanks looked silly……I will wait until more hanks etc go on these bits to see if a redo is necessary.
I agree. I found it strange that two lines belay to same point in first place. I have checked two different plans and it appears they do. If so I should wrap each separately as per your comment. Looking very good
Definitely separate Grant, on ship you would be in a world of misery and confusion if you belayed one over the other. Great work as usual. Cheers JJ.I agree. Is It that the ropes are going in-between the yard's and spar's ?PS can any one spot Grants error in the first photo. (Ok guys the big one not all the many on Grants Victory- be kind).I only saw this when doing the buntlines- clue - has to do with the horses.
Horses, you have horses? Wow I’m confused. Another name for some of those whatcha-macallits. I’ll have study more of this nautical lingo so I can keep up.PS can any one spot Grants error in the first photo. Hi Grant, if he's following the Equipment Kit, check out the instructions. I have some doubts about the routes of the maneuversI agree. I am in agreement Frank. Without any proper references of the Victory, both the Caldercraft and Heller diagrams show it as such. I am going to look around and see how it should go. Doesn’t make any sense this way. Cheers GrantHi Grant, if he's following the Equipment Kit, check out the instructions. I have some doubts about the routes of the maneuvers
Good evening Paul. Yep these British. Maybe without the sails it looks a little disfunctional (for a better word) however I can see how they would operate. Thanks.cheers GrantI certainly couldn't guess what mistake you might have made. But I do find it odd that the bunt lines run up before they run back down to the deck. That seems like an unnecessary complication on the Vic...
Love your work Grant! Eye candy everywhere!
Good evening Heinrich. True story. That is how office work should be - enough free time to make it shipyard time. As to your "blunder" - obviously I have no idea, but does it have to do with saddle blocks?
Hi Martin. No the Buntlines do operate as such. Thank you for your compliments - much appreciated. Is It that the ropes are going in-between the yard's and spar's ?
I am probably calling them the wrong names.
Really nice work though.
