Hi GrantHeinrich I’m sulking a tad this am. Our chaps had England yesterday and then decided to loose their discipline- ahhh good game tho. All will come together for you and then your shipyard will be open again. Good luck with everything.
I have not- however it is on my catch up and will do. As much as I respect the All Black I do hope for a French win.Hi Grant
Since you like rugby (like most South African I believe), did you watch the New Zealand - France game yesterday.
How great it was !!!

Grant, just rotate the grates 90 degrees. they are square. On the double one it is difficult to see, but everything seems to be correct.Finished the port side stanchions and rope rail of central waist. Ha ha pic makes it look like my pillar and stanchions angle upwards....better check.Did some pics of where I am at present.
The stern galleries still give me a head ache as what to do with the balustrades. The only real gripe I have with this kit) I could get a 3D molding?

The gratings are dry fitted as I had to use left overs to make the center one. (not enough provided for my earlier fix up of the gratings in central waist) and could not get the upper combs parallel with the Dp. Sasha going to send me to the stock. I am seeing if I can get some more with quick delivery to SA.
Once again I can say she’s looking great! Good work Grant!Finished the port side stanchions and rope rail of central waist. Ha ha pic makes it look like my pillar and stanchions angle upwards....better check.Did some pics of where I am at present.

Brain freeze there- yep I will do on the two square ones- the problem lies in center where I made the top of the forward portion parallel and the aft one opposite. Going to redo when get new gratings - which I hope match Mantua. Getting parts here is the problem. The private courier fees more than double the cost and many hobby shops (via Amazon or other) don’t deliver to SA,so I need to work out a bulk order.Grant, just rotate the grates 90 degrees. they are square. Silence her ... immediately!
That's an awful lot of shipbuilding terms for a single post Grant. You're a quick study - or you have drunk the Kool Ade being poured by the sirens...The rigging chart on my instructions seems to leave off a fair amount of rigging. I decide to play with the bowsprit standing rigging some more- looking at Caldercraft plans and a Alan McGowan and John McKay diagram there are two bowsprit shrouds on port and starboard. These run from the first and second stop cleats. In addition the dolphin striker shrouds run through blocks to the beak not back to bowsprit per Mantua instructions.

From what I found, The shroud dead eyes are single hole(terminology) and more triangular shape than shown in the Caldercraft plans and not blackened? They are also larger than the bobstay dead eyes so in my scale around 7mm. ......i think. So many different interpretations to go for. Anyway going to add these. Now to find parts or make them.
. PS @dockattner the siren is singing
