First , I would like to praise you for the beautiful design work and the fine application in the 3D milling.
I would love if you continue to share the processes you are doing to reach these achievements. What 3D design software are you using?
I also intend to acquire skills in the field. My grinder is in the process of being upgraded from 3 to 4 Axis

Thank you for your comment. The step to the 4th axis I will do next year. But the 5th axis is more sexy and more usefull.
But there are a lot of requirements to work with it. I think more than 4 axis is difficult to handle with my hard and software.
I use Blender to create the geometry. I did some tests with Rhino as well, but for me Blender makes more sense to learn.
Its depend what you want to learn. The good point on Rhino is, that you learn CAD as well. I use CATIA and i didn´t "waste" more time
to learn a another CAD-System. Blender enter quick and fast and for me its more easier to get the first results. If you need CAD and
modelling, and you start from zero, Rhino is maybe better, because you get both in one system.

Your cnc works looks perfect, just curious how much time it takes you to prepare all the pre work like drawing and the cnc path?
Secondly I just want to inform you about a very nice paper about la Belle's wreck and her importance to deciphering French ship design in the late 17th century. Very interesting to read for everybody working with scratch building.

To create a ornament like this, it takes more or less 3 hours. It´s depend a little bit from the practice with the program.
More you worl with it, more faster you will get the result. The CAM-Process is only experience. Its a thing from minutes.
