A short update. ..or better called, a deja-vu. I´ve found a big mistake in my building. And behind this a another error in my own CAD drawings. For a moment i wanted to drop the model from the workbench but this is the easy way. No pain, no gain. i removed 5 frames and the hawseframes. Only 2 frames i could use for the revised hull. The rest is new. The second time is more faster and more easier, that true. More depressing as well. But it´s good to see the progress and finaly it was worth to go the correct way and to rebuild the wrong components. I needed 9 days to reach the starting point.

Oliver, today I managed to crack one of the finished deck clamp while adjusting it lengthwise.
After that, I found out that the planks I was planning to make limber board from were not wide enough.
OK, back to the saw to make new parts.
We learn as long as we live.

I bought my drawplate (and one for reserve

, the other one was for a friend) some time ago on Byrnes Model Machines. The shipping was very fast and professional. Now i did a fast test. There is nothing to say. It´s a good and simple product, very easy to handle and to use. The hole has a diameter with 1mm, the nail 0,96mm.

Yes the Byrnes drawplate is fantastic.Only thing is you will struggle to go really small with Pear,Boxwood or Bamboo is less likely to snap.For really small in Pear you have to go the hyperdermic needle drilling method.
Just a thought Oliver,why not cut your treenails a little over length and soak in Ebony stain?Even if you fitted them a little proud and sanded flush they would still appear black due to the highly absorbent grain of the Pear wood.Lots easier than trying to paint them;)

Thanks for the idea, Nigel. But i dont want to paint the nail. I think this isn´t historical correct. The nail or dowel has the same material like the plank, how i know. The dowel sure, with the nail i don´t know for sure. The nails above are CFK and will imitate the metalbolts. Thats the plan for this projekt.

The cfk´s you have to cut with more distance to the wood . If you cut it near on the wood, the fibers will open and it doesn´t look sharp and clean. It needs any tests but it will work.

I did think about using Carbon rods when I used it for the pins on the movement joint on SP.I had to wrap the rod in tape before cutting with a hacksaw.You are right,it is VERY splintery.

Oliver, ha ha, in Norway we use 230w, is there a other type in Germany,
BDW- I think the price for this machine will be just as cheap in Norway
like if I buy from abroad if I deduct from customs and shipping.
Question, must the power adapter be purchased separately ?.

Oliver is correct - 230 volts have to be transverted to the 12 Volts the Pensander has
So you need for the Pensander PS13 the adapter or transformer Proxxon NG2 or NG5
