LE ROCHEFORT - Harbour yacht from 1787 1:36 by Tobias (Monograph by ANCRE)

Hello everyone,

one last update before we set off on the big trip. Preparing the planks for the transom. Steamed the planks to make them a little more elastic and left them in the clamping device overnight. Attaching the individual planks; when filing the window frames I had to remove the windows again. It will probably be very laborious to reinstall them and, above all, to make sure they remain movable.
For anyone who gets to this point at some point, change the order; first attach the planks on the outside, then the windows and finally the beams of the aft deck.
Learned something new again! The decoration of the transom has already been prepared. Unfortunately I'm running out of time and won't make it to Evian.

Nice transom part, Tobias. Have a good travel with your well prepared model and a good time in Evian.

Witaj
Piękna precyzyjna praca Tobiaszu jestem ciekaw czym robiłeś ten rowek na czarne elementy czy użyłeś frezu ? Pozdrawiam Mirek

Hello Beautiful precise work Tobiasz I wonder what you used to make the groove for the black elements, did you use a milling cutter? Best regards Mirek

@shota70 , I'm looking forward to seeing you again after a little over 2 years. Of course, you can recreate anything that is suitable for you. @Peter Voogt , I'm confident that both of them will survive the trip. I'm really looking forward to our friends like Shota, who I met in May 2022, also my mentor Ricci alias @Giampy65 and his L'Amarante as well as the current construction of Pegasus, also Tiziano from Italy, G. Delacroix, who I'm finally getting to know and of course the colleagues from the German forum of the AK and the French delegation. @Mirek yes, I've worked a lot with the Proxxon MF70 milling machine.

May God bless us all

I'm look forward to seeing everyone and finally getting to know in person all those who I feel I know well through the site and have become my friends

I apologize in advance because my memory is not very good, I tend to forget Names I am good at remembering faces that my eyes have seen.
So I would appreciate it if anyone who is here and from the site and has never seen them before would introduce themselves so that I can link names to the characters with whom I am in contact my friends from the site.
even if not, any new member will be welcome

In order not to exaggerate the use of Tobias' diary, I will continue to correspond on the subject of the exhibition as part of the topic that was opened several months ago
May we all have an easy and pleasant journey

It's done, Le Rochefort also got a nice box.

@shota70 I hope you still know my face from the video on WhatsApp. @Maarten thank you very much for your kind words, I think we will have fun and meet interesting people.

I will post some pictures from time to time to keep you updated. Thanks again everyone for following and supporting me, without you things would have been much harder.

Tobias my dear friend, how I can forget kind men like you.
your beautiful models getting a wonderful boxes
you can be proud of your self, my dearest friend :)
My heart is saddened by the fact that I can't fly my model with me.:(
the flight costs too much, and the bureaucracy in front of customs and the airline simply put aside my sincere desire

Shota, I can sympathize with you.

Inner measurements 1,30x55 by 120 cm high. I prefer walnut. If possible this year, no hurry. I send you my adres in a pm. Thanks Tobias, your very kind....

Stephan, your order has been taken, but I'm fully booked at the moment. Would February 2031 be suitable for you? ROTFROTFROTF

I like that bending jig. So your Le Rochefort is finished ? Your ships are absolutely beautiful. Enjoy the show.
Hello Tony,
thank you. No, Le Rochefort is not finished yet, that was impossible to do. The planking on the starboard side, the deck boards, mast and rigging are still missing.

It's done, Le Rochefort also got a nice box.

Enjoy Tobias.

Under the link above you can find all the pictures that Shota, Dafi and I took. Feel free to take a look, it was really worth seeing with all the beautiful models from France, Italy and Germany.

Hello dear friends,

we arrived back home safely yesterday evening and both models survived the transport without any damage. I would like to apologize in advance that I will not have much time in the coming weeks/months to show new updates. A major renovation is required in the house, the lower floor of my house needs to be completely renovated. As is so often the case in life, our middle daughter and grandson want to move back in and since the mother-in-law died in May this year, half the house has been empty and we old people (my wife and I) are moving downstairs. The basement is from the 70s and it needs to be completely renovated and brought up to date. Which also means that I am very busy. I hope you will forgive me and if I do find some time to work on the model one day or another, I will of course keep you updated. But that doesn't mean that I will disappear completely from the scene, I will continue to follow your posts with great interest.
