Perhaps it is just the pictures, but you might want to check the keel alignment with a small to medium square. IMHO. Never hurts to double check.

It has been a long time
The frames looking like they are fitting quite good in the jig.
Make sure your frames are seated at the right depth and square to the keel in 2 directions: along the length and width.
Question:
Do you know what waterline was chosen to determine the height of the upper jig?

What I meant is exactly what Gilles writes above.
You have to check if your frames are centered on the keel. This means the center line of the frame shpuld be in the same line as the center of the keel.

Secondly all frames should be placed at the correct height at the keel as we discussed.
For this you should choose one reference surface like your building board. From this surface all the horizontal reference lines on your frames should be the same. Do not take the water line as reference as normally the water line and the keel are not parallel.
This as shown in the picture below.

Hi Don, it is not about what Kris has choosen, you do it your selve. Just draw or pick if present a horizontal reference line from the drawings and use that as reference. I explained in this previous post how.

Of course you can also pick the top of the rig as your reference line, Then it should be parallel to the keel and you should measure the height of the top to the bottom of the keel. At the same height you can then draw a line in your drawings and take over the height onto your frames. The frame is correctly placed at the keel if the drawn reference on your frame is equal to the top of your rig.
It is all about having to fixed refrences which you pick your selve and use to measure if your frames are placed correctly.
 
The top level of the building board has to have been taken from the plans.
What I am referring to is located on plate 1: horizontal line numbered from 1 to 13. looking at your photos it looks like line 7 or 8.
Your frame patterns all have line 6 marked on them, if it is line 8 you could then reference that line on your frames (but you need to be accurate).
It is then very easy to set your frame according to that reference but you also need to cross-check by making sure that your frames are vertical and centered in you jig.

That 2nd level is not there to only hold your frames in place, it is there to help you.

At this point you should understand why it is important to pay attention to accuracy and symmetry (port / starboard side) when making the frame.

HI GILLES AND ALL OH YES I REILISE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ACCRACY, THAT IS WHY IT TAKES ME 4 TO 5 HOURS TO FIT ONE FRAME IN THE JIG, SAND AND FIT SAND AND FIT USING 2 DREMMELS WITH THE FINEST GRIT I CAN FIND AND SADING VERY LIGHTLY USING A GAUGE TO CHECK SYMMTRY ON EACH FITTING,,,, WHAT ABOUT THE KEELSON PROUD OF THAT SO FSAR. I intend to build a large model of the Great Republic some time before I kick the bucket. I have made plans for this model and have drawn out each frame to scale thinking I would build them as described here in this post. However I am about to change my mind as this gets more complicated as it goes along. Cutting each frame out in half and all in one piece with staggered floor joints seems like a much better solution. After all when the planking is on and the model is finished the frames won't be visible anyway. It will be interesting to see how this all turns out in the end. Pete
