I completely agree on working on the detail in front of me… Most of the time. It has happened that not looking ahead causes challenges down the road.

I appreciate the musings on focusing on the tasks in front of me and not becoming overwhelmed by the enormity of the tasks ahead.

There was very little progress this week. Between the Olympics and a staff retreat my workbench was pretty quiet. Still, even small steps are steps.

Ledges for the 2nd deck:



The mizzenmast step:

I still need to add a shoe that will engage with the tiller sweep (pictured below with a drawing):



The tiller sweep will be mounted to the underside of the beams of the second deck. This means the sweep shown above has a round-up that matches the round-up of the beams of the second deck. It will all make more sense later. Or not .

Great pictures and the rudder focus was perfect (on the aft half) . The closeup of the tip made up for that photo!
