NORSKE LOVE - Billing Boats 1:75 scale

The columns and base trim are on the walls. I just have to make all the raised panels and two coat of arms. A lot of tedious work at 1:75 scale…gluing parts of trim on with tweezers…lol.
I set the deck sheets on top to get an idea what it will look like with the deck over it.
Anyway I feel comfortable starting the planking now. I also realized I want to add some trim on the edges of the decks that will match the base trim on the walls. I held a test piece up and it’s really going to tie the walls in nicely! ;)

I think I’m losing my mind…lol. I should be planking the deck and instead I just spent an hour carving on the raised panels on the doors. I’m still not sure if I like them. It seems the doors need to be made of pear to match the panels. However that means hinges, door knobs, etc. have to come off and be redone! But the ships wheel goes in that covered area, and in front of that is a railing around the access to the lower deck. So I’m probably agonizing over something you won’t be able to see…sigh! Isn’t that how it goes? :p52328629-5E45-40DB-8F1D-6EF6B35A71A9.jpeg

My guess is we'll be seeing pear paneled doors in the very near future...

I was just about to post :"glad you're happy and making good progress" when I read the last posting. Yes, pear-paneled doors would look better. So instead of agonizing over it, get going!:D
I feel sorry for Heinrich studentsROTF. Where I am at those doors are awesome, however your build details are immaculate so I’m with Heinrich here.Thumbsup. as @Jimsky has said before it is your build tho.

And then there was pear…I reused my panels because I liked them and it makes the doors look different. ;)

They are not perfect, not even close…but I’ve invested too much time in them already. On to deck planking!!! :p
I was actually waiting for you to do something about those doors....... ;)

Your AL, together with The Lion , worked well together! The doors are looking great.
Regards, Peter
