The keel has been finished on the starboard side. Port side bow keel piece is on the work table for reference. After planking there are 3 pieces added to the thickness of the keel. 1 at the bow, 1 at the stern, and 1 plank in between.

Then I did final sanding and painting of the white below the water line on the starboard side hull.
Also I am making good progress on planking the port side hull. I am about 75% done.
It’s been a productive week! ;)

ps - hull planks are 2mm thick x 7mm wide! Not the easiest to bend, but plenty of thickness to sand. I would have preferred 1.5mm thick x 5mm wide. I think that would have been easier to work with and probably more to scale. If I had to do it over, I would have purchased 5mm planks. ;)
