NORSKE LOVE - Billing Boats 1:75 scale

Look who woke up! Boy was he mad! He thought I would be further along on the ship. ;)
So I did a little antique effects on him. I convinced him people respect elders. :p
That might buy me a little time.

Good afternoon Dean. So good to have the Lion out of his cage. Even with a stick up his butt he must be pretty cuffed with his new appearance. I had a good laugh ROTF at this thread. Cheers Grant

Thanks Grant! I am currently working on the lower hull and adding the lower wales. Will post an update soon. ;)

Lower wales are on. Letting them dry before moving forward. Have some sanding to do in a few places and then paint. Soon I can mark all of the cannon ports. ;)

Right after gluing on the wales, I come back with a blade to scrape any glue that has squeezed out and will potentially prevent the wood from taking stain properly. I do this before the glue sets up and it scrapes off easily.

Wales are on both sides. I measured the full scale plans and ensured I marked their location height wise and made a few pencil marks for reference. Then I just let the board follow the curve of the deck.
Happy modeling!
