Thank you Greg for pointing out these extra enhancements - I think I am going to pass on this extra work ---;)

Here's an attempt to try and show how I managed to rig a block for the anchor pulley. I just show a basic step by step of how I used annealed blackened wire to do this. The block is 7mm x 3mm and the annealed wire is .58 mm. The drill bit is a .90mm so that both ends will fit into hole.

I do not like the rigging line now that I have started to use it. Now, it does not have any fuzzies, BUT, it also will not take on beeswax. Which is very difficult to form things like rope laying on a deck. The OcCre rigging line on my Trinidad was much better as you can form it to any shape and it would stay.

Thanks Guys. Well, my little point and shoot camera is busted. I have a Canon T3i and actually, in this case, the little point and shoot does better. That is bc the P&S has a macro mode of which I can get up really close. So, I tried my iPhone. I got aggravated at the whole thing and ran short of really showing the steps involved. Sorry - Maybe next time, I will show better or make a graphic on how I did it. The manual wants you to twist the wires. Looks totally fake.
At any rate.

Pat asked about the sails and all. NO sails on this. The box did not come with any, and I am not making any. It will be rigged with no sails. Therefore, I have to figure out what to do with blocks and pulleys that are not used. f.e. the blocks used for the Bunt lines. those are mounted on the Yard. Well, with no sails - then no need for Bunt Blocks. So, I assume that the crew must take them down ??? I do not know.

I might just follow the raw bone instructions.
 
Why not a little piece of mast without rigging? Ik am gonna do just little piece of mast. No rigging for me with my neck.

I thought about that several times and cannot decide. I understand about the neck. The chiropractor took x-rays and it looks pretty bad. The neck vertebrae is supposed to have a curve to it. Mine is straight as a rod. Not only that, he showed me that "atlas bone" the C1 bone is out of alignment. He's been working on that too. Feels better too. But not quite 100%.
 
Beterschap carefull then. My neck is the same. My whole spine is out of line because of weak bones. So better no rigging then a lot of pain.
 
Did you remove the pieces of the bulwarks under all the decks? Dont know if i will remove the piece of bulwark under the third deck. Is easyer with planking.

I have to go back and see. I think I documented what I did at the start of the log. I can't recall right now. There were some tabs sticking up (part of the bulkheads) that had to be snapped off, but I don't think that is what you are referring to.

are you referring to the frame ends that the Bulwarks lay against ? some kits have you cut those off but not all as some are to be deck supports so cutting them off above deck is the norm. but below no so much.
 
Rigging looks good but take it easy. No pain yet? Left the ends for the top deck on the frontside intact. Sorted out almost all my wood i have and found enough for all the decks. Its 1 mm thick.

seems we have a lot in common - unfortunately, the pain ( or problems thereof) ranks hi. Well, I have never gone to a Chiropractor. I never liked the idea of someone twisting me and so forth. But, the Admiral talked me into it. Then she had to show me some youtube videos on some procedures - :eek: ok, no way.
However, I went ahead with a lot of nervousness into the Docs office. He took x-rays and his machine / computer was able to immediately show the results right there on the computer screen. :eek: Even to an untrained eye, it was obvious that I had some problems with a curve in two places in my back, and also my neck was straight as an arrow. He said the neck is supposed to have a sweeping curve. He showed me a typical anatomy of the neck. Mine did not look like the typical.
I can say for one thing, my neck has always as long as I can remember had this weird slight sound (in my ears) when I turn my head from side to side like "no" side to side - and the sound was like sand granules grinding - After my 6th adjustment, it does not do that anymore. Smooth.
Now, I also have this strange ringing in the ears...it is NOT a tone...what it is, is that the muscles pull on the neck which that pull gets transferred to the ear inside.
It is called somatic tinnitis. All neck muscle related. Every bodies will do this if the neck is twisted or pulled up slightly.
So, I am only telling you about my experience as I went into it with a lot of apprehension and a little doubt.
I have since then learned that Chiropractory can really help with a lot of illnesses and diseases out there. A good Chiro will take x-rays and test before he or she does anything to your body. I have always been stiff. Even now as I work on that rigging, if I do not move - I will get stiff. I can only do work on the ship for about an hour at one time.
 
I cant Go any more. With 1 turn or twist he can break my bones in my neck or back or ribs. If i drop a piece of wood with building the ship and i pick it up to fast my ribs break. Happend twice already. I am Just 47 and it gets only worse due to the medicines. I havent been out the Door for 3 weeks now and today docter called and there are not options any more have to wait until pain and attacks dissapear with time. So i am bit dissapointed today. But i dont give up and called my internist. She is gonna searchfor solution in hospital with all specialists that are available. One time in broke 7 ribs in 1 day and my docter that called today said then that there was nothing wrong with my ribs because i was still walking but i insited for x Ray and than he saw 7 broken ribs and apologized.
 
Hi Donnie, just going back to your anchor stock and seeing that the serving came off, this is what I do; I purchased a small tin of DOPE, no not the stuff you smoke(d), the stuff we used to put onto our tissue based model airplanes, it works fantastically on the ropes, it will not only 'glue' the rope to the timber but will also shrink the ropes making them tighter.
For standing rigging that is a bit loose, didn't want to tighten it too much for fear of breaking something, the DOPE will tighten the rope to a certain extent.
A word of warning regarding the DOPE or Airplane DOPE, it is heavily laced with ACETONE, people with lung problems should not use this indoors or smoke near it, in fact don't use it indoors PERIOD!.

thanks Eric. Seriously, I appreciate the tip. Now, just to find some.

So, here is the latest. I am waiting for a special "Downcut Endmill" for wood that is 5/16 or 2mm so that I can mill out extra on the wooden Axels of the carriages. In the meantime, I thought I would try rigging these lanyards.... my gosh, it has been almost 2 years since I did this. The deadeye is not seized just 100% correct and the lanyards are "fair". However these deadeyes are terribly small. I mean ----- really small.
