POF L'Amarante Corvette de 12 canons 1744 1:36 (Ancre Monograph- Gérard Delacroix) By Shota

Hello my dear friends and a happy and sweet new year to all of us
in Last week I finished installing the window frames that made from boxwood.
I also started making the planking boards from Swiss pear wood. For now I did an experiment with one panel of the 5 rows and placed it under the windows, without gluing.
In addition, I made and installed the ebony planking boards at the front of the bow. For now, I only provided one side for an impression.
I am attaching pictures for impressions
I wish everyone a good weekend and a happy new year

Very nice progress, I see you will continue with the rest of the planks with pear, it will certainly make a beautiful composition. I only attached the front black bow planks after the first planking, I hope you can get a clean transition at the curves of the individual boards.

Tobias, my dear friend
first of all I would like to thank you for your support and guidance all along the way.
I took a slightly different approach, under the ebony boards I placed a thin veneer of pear, 0.6 mm thick. The pear wood boards of the flecking at the end that connects to the ebony will end in a 0.6 thick tab that goes under the ebony and will match the configuration of the ebony board as a mirror image.
have a good weekend

Good morning my friend, we all have a different approach, that's what I find so exciting about our hobby. Thank you for your explanation and the information, Shota. The great thing is that everyone can learn something from everyone else, great work.

I'm absolutely agree with you my friend :)

Hello Shota,
2 years ago, I made a fairly accurate interpretation of the Amarante's stern and bow decorations.
If you'd like a little inspiration, I can send you some larger images.

Hello Bernard,
Those decorations are fantastic! I’m also considering starting the Amarante model, but since I’m not very skilled at sculpting, I think I could use a CNC to create the stern and bow decorations. Would you be kind enough to share the 3D model with me?
Thanks Marco

Hello @Meyo007 , have a look at the page in the French forum and send Bernard a PM

And another small surprise that a friend produced for me on a 3D printer - figures for a ship on a scale of 1:48View attachment 425953View attachment 425954View attachment 425955View attachment 425956
Great figurines. Sorry for being bold, but is there any chance I could ask you for the STL files to print such figurines? I’ve been searching for something similar, but the quality has been very poor. The one I found turned out to be a statue of Nelson. I made a figurine from it for my Victory. But I would love to have more of the crew.

Dear serikoff
They are not mine, the designs belong to another member of the site who was generous and shared them.
please Search in the 3D printing section of the site.
I recommend that you contact him, I do not want to infringe copyright.
have a nice day, Goodluck

I tried to locate the link, but without success unfortunately

I recommend that you open a query/issue with the image, maybe someone can help with it, the creator

Thank you so much. That’s exactly what I’ll do. When I get to this topic in my thread, I’ll ask for help with it.
