Purchased shortly ago / sthg new in your workshop -> present it here

Today I gave myself a gift of some tools.
Japanese pull saw Dozuki 240 mm J-WD240, blade 0,3 mm 25 tpi
3 pair of Japanese serre joints 300 mm
and some sanding linen 400 and 600 grid
I have several Japanese saws--superior in so many ways to most western-style saws.

I also have some of the brass clamps. Those I have not been so enthusiastic about. They just don't have any holding power.

A few new things I've added to my shop. The MicroLux Mill & accessories I've had for a while and the Proxxon MF70 is new.

The Mini R8 mill by MicroLux is great for cutting metal however it's max RPM is 2500 which is too slow for milling wood with small cutters.

This is the accessory package for the R8 mill which includes power feed, machine vise and collets.

Rotary table for the R8 mill

The Proxxon MF70 with assorted cutters. Haven't had a chance to test it out as yet however, I'm sure it will be very handy for my shipbuilding projects.

Glue a piece of sanding paper on the inside of the clamp to avoid slipping.
I wasn't referring to their ability to grip objects. When you start to tighten the screw to apply pressure the clamp just slips on the bar because the holding screw and rod are soft brass.

I tried them, no problem with them. These are quality serre joints, made in Japan.

Hello everyone, I got myself some needle files from Rio Grande , a set of Frederick Dick #2 files, a handle, a cheap set of #0 , and the orange ones I got on Amazon but they are Japanese and are a little bit bigger than needle files and are super sharp ..

I was going to buy the Syren Servo-Matic but they were out of stock and I didn’t want to wait so I made one… works very well And didn’t spend but about $6.00 on some lamp hardware

I bought the Syren jig but didn't particularly like the way the sprockets meshed, so I too made another one myself and substituted metal gears I bought from Amazon. Works really well! Each sprocket was installed with ball bearings (seen in the picture).20210830_150313.jpg

Great work! I really like your “dry dock” cradle. I’m assuming you custom built that? Also great work.
