I re-planked the bulkhead below the quarterdeck to match the color with the inner bulwark planking.

Workshop looks fab! Moving is always so difficult, but the up side is you can plan the workshop from the start and have it close to how you really want it.

I know what you must have gone through re, moving house, my wife and I have also just moved house about 5 weeks ago never ever again.

Hello everyone, I started to create a mini kit for 15th-century gun carriage based on Garik Grigoryan,s Santa maria build, link below pictures.

First four kits are made of pear wood and two made of mahogany and walnut just see how the color contrast shows on the deck which is teak.

Just checking the scale on the deck





Pear wood, they are not assembled completely yet,12 pieces so far and lot more coming since the metal parts are not done yet.

I glued together one gun carriage and placed on the deck for a dry fit, time to assemble the rest and give one or two coats of poly.










Than I assembled all four pear wood gun carriages and finished them with one coat of poly, no need for more because they will be too shiny.

Next, I was continuing with planking, too much planking.

Hi Zoltan, I don't know if you have considered this: continue the planking on and around the false keel, it makes it look more realistic.

Hello Eric, yes the false keel will be planked too,I wouldn't leave it blank.

Hello everyone, moving forward with planking.

After completing the hull planking and an initial sanding I continued planking the keel, stem, and stern post.

Hi Zoltan, the hull is looking great, can't wait to see how the wood turns out when a varnish is applied.

A small criticism if I may, I noticed how you planked the stem of the keel, as you no doubt know the stem was a solid piece of wood that ran up from the keel, however in this case I think it would be hardly noticeable given the size of the pieces. After-all nobody admires a model closer than six inches.
