Silent Mary by Mellpapa

Really quite an amazing accomplishment at that scale. Congratulations.
Thank you, dockattner.
In the meantime, I've drawn a simple drawing and crafted it, but I've never been able to do it neatly as per the drawing. I always compromise somewhere.ROTFROTF

Duplicate parts of the lion's face behind the gun port lid.
SilentMary-32-35.jpg
The face of the golden lion in the red circle section is sold as a component in model sailboat shops, so I bought about five of these.

SilentMary-32-36.jpg
Five lion faces were moulded in silicone.
These are to be replicated in resin.

SilentMary-32-37.jpg
Reproduced in resin. Ten pieces fixed to the board with double-sided tape.

SilentMary-32-38.jpg
We duplicated about 236 lion faces in total. It took a long time.
I will use 74 of them for the Silent Mary.
The rest are for the sailing ship model that I will make in due course.

The lion's face attached to the board is painted in olive drab.
This is the base coa

Once the olive drab had dried, the gold was dry brushed.

Enlargement.
It looks like a lion's face.
I've painted 10 of them and will paint 64 more.

This is a door and door frame craft that I had not yet made.

It is very difficult to cut the curves to fit the door frame and make it fit perfectly.

SilentMary-33-03.jpg
Cut to size of door frame and door.

This is the decorative application of the door frame and the bonding of the doorknobs and hinges.

Two doors are installed on the wall behind the rudder wheel.
The back deck, in the CG of the movie, is much lower.
Since they are made according to the drawings that were made appropriately to match the image illustration, we will leave them as they are.
In the CG of the movie, the upper part of the door protrudes above the deck behind it.
The height of the deck cannot be changed after it has been built this far.

SilentMary-33-06.jpg
This is a door on the wall behind the gun deck. In the CG of the movie, the deck behind this wall is much higher.
This is probably because we are making it according to the drawings made from the concept illustration.
We are not going to rebuild this area either.

Hi everyone, long time no see.
Actually, I've got some work to do. I'm a little busy.
I got a request to build a chopper and a workbench.
I'm working on it right now.
I've received several orders, so it's going to take until the end of September.
The chopper is this one.

And here's the workbench.

I hope to resume work on the Silent Mary in October.
Until then, the Silent Mary will take a break for a while.
I wish you all the best. :D Thumbsup

Dear mellpapa
I hope this will not be considered an impudent request,
could you share with us how you build and prepare a desk and work rooms for our field. Unfortunately I don't have a study room yet, but in about a year a room is expected to become available for the subject and I would like to start planning it and learn from experienced and professional people.
thanks shota

If I can stay COVID-free for a few more weeks I will be back in Japan next month and I am very excited. Hopefully I can visit my favorite stores: Tokyu Hands and Joyful-Honda!

Hello, shota70!
I've never had a craft room.
So, I won't be able to meet your expectations, but I'll write about how I work.
I keep my power tools in the back of the garage on the first floor, where I do cutting, sanding, drilling, etc. Assembly is done in my study (where I keep my computer) and bedroom. I make the outfitting here.
I also work on a table in front of the wardrobe with a board with drawings on it.
This is how it looks like. :D

Please, when will the work on Silent Mary be continued? I was also on your website on the Internet, there is no further than page 33 there either.

Damir, thanks for your help.
I have had more requests than expected to build the chopper and workbench, so I am unable to craft the Silent Mary.
The chopper and workbench will take about 2-3 more months to build. Please wait until then.

Thank you all.
With grandchildren to deal with, I have not been able to make much progress on the Silent Mary.
But my 2 year and 4 month old grandson is adorable!

I'll post a picture of the progress of the Silent Mary.
Hallo @mellpapa
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Birthday-Cake
Hope you are well - would be great to see some new progress
