Silent Mary by Mellpapa

I don't like the blue arrows, so I'll fix them.

The small roof part will have a window.
How to do it?
As long as it looks like that, it's OK, so I make decals for the windows and stick them on.
All the glass parts have to be redone.

A is the glass part I made last time and B is the glass part I re-made.
The part marked in silver is the door.
It's a glass door to light the lantern. (Laughs)
The Silent Mary in the film. No one knows if this is how it was.
I'm making this up in my imagination.

This is how it turned out. I also put a pillar on the outside of the glass.

I think it's fine like this.

Hmm, I'm self-satisfied.
Brother Mellpapa, this new update of the lantern is truly amazing. If you are satisfied, then we are also satisfied. You truly are an artist.

That is just beautiful work. She is going to be a one-of-a-kind-ship!
Dear Heinrich
It has to be something you can be happy with.
I've made a good lantern.Thumbs-Up

Dear ziled68
It's always trial and error for a self-satisfying craft.ROTFROTF

Cut the base of the lantern into three equal parts.
The middle part is not used.

SilentMary-30-25.jpg
The stern bulwark area is to be painted in German grey, the same colour as the hull, so the deck is to be masked.

SilentMary-30-26.jpg
After painting the bullwork in German grey, the base of the lantern was glued on.

SilentMary-30-27.jpg
I temporarily assembled the lantern and also the turret.

SilentMary-30-28.jpg
Mostly, I think it's good.
It's cool.

SilentMary-30-29.jpg
The railings are attached from both sides of the lantern.
The handrail posts are tricky.
If we move our hands, we can manage it.

This is what it looks like inside the bullwork.

What a great ship to build. And what a craftmanship you show us.
Thank you for your comment.
This is a sailing ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, which is only shown for about five minutes. This is the ship before it became a cursed ship. There's a lot I don't understand, so I'm making this mostly from my imagination.

There are too many unknowns on the Silent Mary.
Well, it's a fictional ship from a movie, so I'm taking it easy.
Where I don't understand, I look up the real 100-gun ship.
Probably the only people who know the Silent Mary in detail are the people who made the Silent Mary in the movie with CG.
The Silent Mary I'm building is based on the concept art.

This remains one of the coolest builds to me. And the fact that it is fictional allows you just that little more room to move in and in which to be creative. You are doing an amazing job!

If you like, I have a Photoshop picture of that eagle. I made that for my ship. If you want I can send it to you. Give me a PM if you want with your email address.
it looks like this jpeg I attached but the PSD is much more accurate.

Mr. Heinrich
Thank you very much for your comments.
I went through Heinrich's crafting log today.
Your crafting skills are those of a seasoned engineer.
You have shown me some very good crafting skills.
It is a feast for the eyes.

Dear Mellpapa. Thank you very much for your kind words. Coming from you, I appreciate it very much!

May I ask what brand and shade of paint you are using, this color looks great
Hello, fj3131030!
I'm using "GSI Creos Mr. HOBBY" No. 40 German Gray and No. 13 Neutral Gray to paint the Silent Mary.
They are both lacquer-based paints.
After painting the entire surface with German Gray, after it dries, I mix German Gray with Neutral Gray and dry brush the highlights. Gradually increase the proportion of neutral gray and drybrush the highlights to create a lighter gradation.

The model I'm doing now is also considering doing it old, this color is a good choice
I used to be a graphic designer. I was in charge of designing brochures, flyers, etc. at a printing shop.
I also drew illustrations.
When I draw, I don't paint black on black objects. I would paint dark gray, and for the highlighted areas that were lit up, I would drybrush dark gray mixed with light gray, and then gradate and highlight to create a three-dimensional effect.
The same goes for painting on models.

Hi, Steef66.
How generous of you to give away your photoshop illustrations.
I've grown to love you.
But the eagle on the sail is a little different.
I'll have to draw it myself.
This time, I am grateful for Steef66's feelings.
I saw Steef66's craft. Steef66, like Heinrich, is a seasoned technician.
Very nice workmanship. It was a feast for the eyes.
Thank you very much.

La Maria Silenciosa Logo
SilentMary-30-32.jpg
I was looking for this font for the "La Maria Silenciosa" logo in the red arrow.
I've been looking for it for a long time because I couldn't find a free one.

SilentMary-30-33.jpg
I was patient, making decals with the blue arrow font until I found what I wanted.

SilentMary-30-34.jpg
This time, after three days of searching, I finally found a similar free font.
I immediately downloaded it, remade the decals, and attached them.
It's a little different if you look closely, but I think it's much better.

Hi mellpapa!
Thank you very much for the paint that you have pushed forward. This will be very important for my model making. I can see from your boat that you have extremely deep technical skills. The whole model effect is also very good. Looking forward to the completion of the model
