Attached is a rough first attempt at the forward wall of the cabin
the wood chipped in a couple places so I will be remaking that panel and I will be cutting glass for the three window holes. It just keeps getting more exciting as I move along.

Is Titebond 3 a suitable glue for gluing components of my lobster boat project? I'm uncertain about glue usage various parts of the Donald David.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Steven,
The first thing I would ask is what materials do you want to glue to each other?

Personally I find the Titebond 2 and 3 to be excellent glues even when gluing metal to wood, roughing up the metal first.

Thanks, Stephen. My thoughts are to use it for gluing wood to wood in my lobster boat build. I know it probably takes longer to set, but I have a large jug of it and I have glued a lot of wooden things with it, but those things are not likely to swim in water.

I use Titebond II all of the time. My models are however static that live in glass cases. I have not used Titebond III but I believe that they advertise it as being waterproof.

I've used Titebond II Premium on all my builds. My only use of Titebond III was on the strakes of my Spanish Galleon build. I found that when wetting the strakes. to bend them into shape Titebond II "unglued" at the splice/scarf joint, loosened and came apart because the moisture I applied. Titebond IIII solved that that problem.

Thanks for the info, Jan. That's definitely a good point to keep in mind.
Attached are two photos showing the addition of the cabin face. I have to add the left side panel to it before fastening it in place.

Port side of cabin is now attached, with it's glass window. Next step is the roof and the dashboard items.

Attached are two photos of my latest work on the Donald David; the cabin. I cut pieces of plate glass for the windows and there are there are three simple replicas of instruments on the dash board: a two way radio, a compass and a special instrument that displays the ocean floor and its rocks; very handy when ever he set traps in a shallow area.
