USS Constitution by Model Shipways 1:76 scale

I like the foam blocks inside the netting to protect them from damage.

In my HO trains, the engines come with foam between the body and handrails to prevent them from being bent in to far when being handled.

I used 3d printed blocks for more support it took a bit of trial and error to get the shape right.

Part 2
I must admit I have been putting off making the hammock nets until absolutely necessary. This is how I did mine.

First the easy part fix the PE posts in place care has to be taken as they bend very easily.

It's hard to see in the photo, first I put the netting over the posts then threaded a piece of 0.3mm wire through the holes.

I used some thread to attach the netting to the wire. When finished I trimmed the excess netting.

Job finished, quite time consuming and very delicate work.

As I was really worried about damaging the nets I made some removable plastic blocks to fit between the nets. These make it a lot harder to damage the netting.
That's all up to date for now.

I kinda naturally figured out the same thing on my Constitution cross section. After bending the frames for the 4th or 5th time I inserted a length of square stock and tied it off. That ended the accidents.

Beautiful!!!

If you'd cover those "blocks" with simulated "canvas" you'd be done with the hammocks
Thanks for the the comments.
I tried making hammocks but it would have taken a lot of time for something I wasn't really happy with.
