Have you thought of scribing fake plate lines with a scribe or sharp blade to make it look a bit more like actual platting.
Might try on test wood first, and see if it works or is worth the effort.

Maybe you can contact the manufacture for hull plans and tell them you want to make a model of the boat, heck they may want one for themselves if they give you the plans.

Making some progress. Unfortunately, I must have drilled the holes for the screws for the stand wrong. It lists a little to the port side. I’ll have to figure out a way to remedy that. Any ideas?
I added frames for hatches. They may be a tad out of scale, but 3/64” is pretty thin.

Mark the bases of pedestals and use Forstner style drill to slightly adjust the wood base to get a level ship, say the ocean floor is not level.
The guns are so tiny! I might be able to attach recoil rope, but no train or haul ropes.
I’ll have to look that up. Not sure how that would help except to ream the hole out.

Fostner bits work well to level or un-level a hole, you just need to tilt the drill slightly as needed to get the ship true vertical, most won't notice the pedestals off tilt a little.

I’m missing the twin to this metal piece. I suppose I will have to cut it out of wood and paint the decorations on.
Maybe you could find someone good at rendering things for 3d printing and have it printed?
Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone offhand. I'd like to get a 3D printer or a CNC machine, but I don't think the Admiral has that in the Defense Appropriations Budget for this year.
I’m trying to find a way to glue the fife rail parts together so that they stay at right angles. I knew the Proxxon mini vise would come in handy in a lot of ways.
