Vasa - 1:65 DeAgostini [COMPLETED BUILD]

A rare day off with nothing on my schedule! I dedicated it to the lateen sail...

A fun way to spend a day!
Your Wasa is looking more and more impressive by every step you make with adding new sails, Paul.
They look very niceness realistic. Also the new blocks with lines.
And now I know how concentrated you have to work between all hose lines.
Regards, Peter

Now I need to go back and install the running rigging that I skipped - and many, many more rope hanks...
That's awesome, Paul! The sails on the courses look great, and the way they are rigged, you can see all the deck details. :D Thumbs-Up

Thank you kindly friends. I suspect I will never do sails again but it was a challenging diversion that had to be experienced. If you have never done sails before I'll just say that it's harder than you think to create something convincing.

I'm so sorry Heinrich - but on October 17 I invoked the no-more-do-overs clause in my contract ROTF. You're going to have to live with the disappointment...ROTF.
No-no. You see, here the critical analysis of the teacher comes in. By definition a re-do or do-over would be another version of a furled sail. A billowing sail would not be a do-over. ROTF

Doc one question on Wasa, did the ship have a flag attached on the top mast as most did?

I know your not done, so it may just be in the list of thing waiting on the "round to-it" to be worked.
There are flag poles (flagstaffs?) on top of all the masts. Presently they are in a zip-lock bag on the shelf. I haven't figured out how to make flags yet though. Still a long way to go and then my crazy long punch list.
