VOC ship The Prins Willem (scale 1:75) Year 1651

I think you meant to say "Prost" (German). *Proost* is the sound you make when you fart... unless you are Dutch.

Are you saying that perhaps because of the way it is pronounced? Besides, Isn't Stephan Dutch? His flag is from The Netherlands. Search "Dutch drinking toasts" and you find many, many things similar to this:

The most common Dutch drinking toast is "Proost!" (pronounced "prohst"), which you say while clinking glasses and making eye contact. Another option, particularly for wine, is the French-derived "Santé!". A more formal Dutch phrase, "Op je gezondheid!" (to your health!), can also be used.

Google is your friend ... sometimes. ROTF

Regardless - Cheers! Beer

Thanks for the likes and copliments again. This update took me a few days to make. Especially the reef tackle took some time to make. The Mizzen topsail halyard I made today. The violinblock is handmade on the same way I make ornaments.

The reeftackle 2x:

When you zoom in you see the glue. The rope is 0,2 mm. With bare eyes not visible, but I have to experiment with other glue that don't have this effect on small parts. On bigger rope I can hide this.

The Halyard of the mizzen topsail:

The rope is 0,61 mm. It should be 0,53 mm. I can live with that.

Thanks for the visit.

Looking great. Really nice work on the violin blocks, Steef66!

This looks great, Stephan. Small details take a lot of time but add so much!

Thanks guys, nice words to hear. Maybe I start over the reeftackles, I don't like the blocks I used. A redo is coming up.

Looks great on the model Stephan. Luckily saw them life last Friday. The paper sail looks also very convincing. Looking forward to the final results when shaped.
Thanks Maarten, it was a great day, the details on your ship are great. The dovetail joints of the deck beams look really good.

Thanks Grant for you comment.

Over the past few days, I haven't really felt like working on my ship. My dog Beauty (9 years old) was sick, and we didn't know exactly what was wrong with her. It turned out she had diabetes. That was a shock, because now she needs special care in the form of daily insulin injections and special food. She's been getting this for a few days now, and we can already see a difference in her health. She's doing a little better and is also a bit more active. She'll be just fine. As long as she gets good care. And she certainly gets that from us; she's our little child.

She is watching Animal planet here. :)

But today I felt like trying something new on my ship. I had to make parrel trucks for the mizzen yard.
And with a scale of 1:75, those things have to be very small. They are not available ready-made, so making them myself is the only solution. After much trial and error and a number of failures, I found a good method. All I have to do now is make the holes in them.
Here are a few photos and a video at the end. It's going pretty fast this way, and I'll keep going for a bit. Because I think I'll need a lot more.

Hi Stephan,

What a great idea for making the parrel beads! I didn't know such drill bits existed. I'll definitely get one. The video is also very well done and explains the process very nicely.

Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Johann, I'm not too happy with the camera's focus in macro mode. It was a bit difficult to get a sharp image. But you can clearly see what I'm trying to do. First, I roughly shape it with a little pressure. You can see that. And then I turn the wood in the cup bur without using much force. There are two types of burs. The one I use is for wood, but there are also burs for rounding off metal.

The idea came of this video
