Thank you very much! I too am looking forward to hull planking, if I ever get done with the walls and decks....ha ha!

I glued the upper wall in place…


I also added supports behind each wall, that way when I fair the frames, I don’t have to worry about a wall coming loose.

Then me and my granddaughter went to the mailbox…she drove her car on the sidewalk.



Then we swept the decks…


With that done, it was time for food. So not a lot of ship building, but time well spent all the same!

Since the upper wall was glued on, it was time to fair the upper deck beams and wall. Then I glued, nailed and clamped the upper deck on.


While that was drying, I carved one of the two coat of arms that go on the upper front wall.

It’s almost hard to believe someone makes a great model out of a Billings kit. It’s stunning and great skill.
time to move to the hull…

Nice progress, Dean. It gives more and more depth, with the back wall and door under this upper floor. And the lower floor through the holes.

Again a real good looking coat of arms.
The final deck and the direction of light cast beautiful shadows and give the panels and doors way more depth. Your approach is really paying off.
