the planking in the area that you marked in red in the picture, (made of ebony wood) is based on the plan in the monograph as well as the most impressive and beautiful work of our friend Richi (Giampy65).

I look closely at the picture, I notice that your planks (red) aren't actually following the same direction as (yellow). So my question is, what happened? I'm asking because I'll get to that point at some point.

First, I would like to commend you for your keen eye. The explanation for how the boards were installed is that unfortunately it was a compromise due to the design constraints of the boards and the hard properties of the ebony wood.

Thanks Shota for your answer.
Yes, ebony isn't particularly nice to work with. I use black hornbeam instead, which is much nicer to work with and cheaper.

Good evening dear friends
Hope you are well
Tonight after about two weeks of work I reached another stage - installing the planking on the side of the ship.
Now we can see the combination of the natural shades of the 3 types of wood (Swiss pear, boxwood and ebony)
I have more sanding work to do, installing wooden nails, smoothing / final sanding and oil to give depth to the color of the wood.
So until then enjoy the pictures
