What I'll be writing will probably not be met with much enthusiasm and/or applause, but I want to share my views with regards to masts, sails and rigging on a ship's model.

An Admiralty style build put emphasis on the hull's structure and not so much on other systems/elements and I find myself immensely enjoying and appreciating the associated PoF build style, but...
To me sailingship models without masts, sails (furled or set) and rigging are "incomplete"; it's like presenting a Spitfire without propellor and engine, which essentially is the heart of the beast.
While being able to show the internal arrangement of the hull has various purposes and the shape is determining the hydrodynamic properties of the hull, the driving force is generated by the sails, supported and controlled by the masts, spars and rigging.
And that's why I could not easily convince myself to build a true Admiralty style model, notwithstanding the fact that I am truly impressed by the beauty and complexity of Admiralty style builds.
And last but not least, a slightly closer look at the various Admiralty style builds here on SOS and elsewhere (including this particular build) will uncover the craftsmanship and ingenuity those builders possess.

Dear Shota. I have said it before, and I will say it again. With this build you have elevated your skill set and accomplishments to another level. You are in the process of creating something very special that you can be immensely proud of. Well done, my friend!
