I continued with constructing the part of the bulwark that gave shelter to the riflemen. It is still work in progress. On the outside a profiled slat will later be attached, but only after I have painted the outside of this section. Mind you, it hasn't been glued down yet, so still will get some refinement. Gluing will also happen after the painting is done. Then the door and fittings will be installed.

Hey Herman,

She looks so beautiful. I'm blown away. Your work is truly a dream. I'm a big fan of beautiful things, and your D7P is absolutely gorgeous. :D First Place Metal

Nice work on the bulwark, Herman. And those scuppers looks very realistic.
Regards, Peter

Good morning Herman. Brilliant. Your finish and the way the grain of the wood is exposed makes this eye candy. Cheers Grant
Thank you Grant.
The fact that construction has been halted for five months does have a slight advantage, as the pearwood has darkened a shade, which, in my opinion, looks much better. After I've painted the lower wales, the hull will get some further treatment. I have a can of Clou sealer, which has already produced excellent results on several build logs.
