Artesania Latina Anatomy of Lord Nelson’s HMS Victory 1805

Hey Alan,

Really beautifully done, and yes, of course there were larger buckets and tubs. Some were made of wood, known as wash tubs, which were used to wash large quantities of vegetables or even meat... or even wash troughs, which people used to bathe in. As always, you've breathed new life into the building. By the way, I was able to reorder part P70 and AL has confirmed that the part has been sent to me. :D Thumbsup

Video #29 Update

Part P70 arrived today so I fitted it as best I could. It has to be bent into an offset shape to go through the chain. None of this was shown in the video, just the part in position
I had to paint the lower part before fitting as it passed behind a brass ring which would not be there if fitted at the correct time. I have included a couple of stills from the video to help others with the positioning

Hey Alan,

Now I have an idea of what part P70 looks like. Thank you very much. I've ordered it too. I'm excited to see when it arrives. I always look forward to your progress and pictures. Thank you very much.

One Year On

It’s been one year today that I started this build.(27/11/24) I haven’t kept a note of how many hours I’ve spent to date, I think that would drive me mad thinking about how many hours of the 3000 or so they say to build it are left
I don’t work on her every day and there are the holidays and days out in between, so I just plod along at my own pace. I thought at the start that this would be a 4 or 5 year project for me.
Let’s see where we are this time next year

Hey Allan,

Thank you very much for being excited about my win. I hope I manage to build it exactly as it was in 1765. I look forward to hearing your opinion and am so excited to see what it looks like. I will definitely take your tips and tricks on board... Thumbsup
