Indeed Herman. Our hobby requires lots of patience and with a model like the 7P, you will require dollops of it. However, it will all pay off in the end with something you can be immensely proud of. Each time I see someone build the 7P I get this strange hankering to just close my eyes and order a kit from Hans. So far, sanity has prevailed though! ROTF

Thank you all for visiting my build log and your likes and comments.

I am now working on the scuppers in the waterways.

And provisionally positioned on the model. I placed a plank on top of the waterways to simulate the future shadowed view of the inside of the scuppers.

That are nicely shaped waterways, Herman. And the deckwater can flow away through those scuppers. Nice details!

Super clean and beautifully rendered. So good, in fact, that it reminds me of your inspiration - Drazen.
Thank you Marc. That is a great compliment. The cleaness he is able to reach sometimes leans against the supernatural.
I am not following him to the letter, but am grateful I can use his building log as a guide to the sequence of building and as a continuing source of inspiration.

You're a brave man. This could be go wrong and break. But you nailed it. Well done.
The width of the scuppers is only about 6 mm, the remaining piece of wood above the scuppers only 1, so a bit fragile.
I had 1 piece of the waterway that fell on the floor while filing and our dog came rushing in to "help". Lucky I could pick it up just in time.

The waterways are ready and have been installed on the model.

The placing of the scuppers is not in accordance with the drawings of Otte Blom. If I had followed his deck layout the scuppers would have been (partly) right above the gunports on the lower deck. I think that is unlikely, so I have placed them directly under the gunports on this deck, and thus placed in the middle of the gunports on the lower deck.

Panorama-picture, a bit wobbly (no steady hand), but gives an overview of the layout of this deck.
