Fife-Scottish Fishing Vessel, Amati_Victory Models 1:32

In an attempt to make this less tedious I cut a spacer to fit between the lower level strips an provide the1mm spacing for the upper layer. Much easier than placing individual tiny spacers between the strips and having them fall over when gluing the next strip in place.

Now I just have to wait for Fedex to bring my 'caulking' order to finish the decking.

That’s looking very nice, Ron.
Regards, Peter

Also, I had to award myself a Do Over coin today for my screwup on the wheelhouse. Next image

The navigation light housings are on the correct side of the ship however, the housings need to be rotate 90 degrees. Haste makes waste. Of course when removing them required a complete re-painting of the top of the wheelhouse and replacing the edging around the structure. WORK IN PROGRESS

Revenue for the "BAD WORD JAR"
I have to start a new "Bad Word Jar". Last summer my daughter and grand kids were down here for a vacation and I said the one who comes closest to guessing the amount gets the jar. I had already counted it....$238. The one that 'Won' the jar was my granddaughter, who at that time was studying in Israel, just by guessing from a FaceTime image. My son-in-law volunteered to carry the one gallon jar home with them. When they got to the TSA checkpoint the agent just laughed saying he had one of those at his home.
OBTW, my granddaughter arrived in Israel two weeks before war broke out. Thankfully she arrived back to the US two months ago. Boy did I get a new perspective on what is going on over there.

OK folks, be honest. I'm sure many of you have some type of illuminated magnifying device that you use. (Not the headgear type) How many times have you been working on a part under the glass, carving, sanding or whatever and stopped to blow the dust, chips etc. from your work while the part is still underneath the glass? Blowing is not very effective when trying to blow through the glass is it? Be honest now!

And I still cannot figure out why the font on my postings keeps changing when I post.

While waiting on materials to arrive I decided to concentrate on the painting, (Ugh) of the hull. My slipway made an easy job of leveling the hull both length & breadth for marking.

(Yes Paul, below the waterline is to be ORANGE.)
