Good morning Johan. I am taking a flyer at this. The modifications are relatively small 20mm length and more designed to angle the rudder, give the upper stern bulwarks more angled and sleeker lines and curve the wales more. No 3D or specific design....this shipwright is working by creative visionNow this is getting really interesting; modifying the hull lines.
Did you do any 3D surface modeling, to see how she'll look with your changes implemented?
There are examples around of beautifully lofted surfaces being modified for one purpose or another and turning out to be just a little bit off. Look for instance at the Jumbojet's stretched upper deck of the later versions, not really bad looking but esthetically not as appealing as the original upper deck. (My opinion, of course...)
Anxiously anticipating your future updates.

going to love it or toss it. This we will find out at a point.
Good afternnon Heinrich. Thank you. The practice part Im not too sure of tho....The theory is looking very good, Grant! I have no doubt that the practice will follow suit!

Good afternoon Peter. Thanks for this. Every photo I see of your Cazador just shows how beautifully crafted your Xebec is. In the instructions they appear a lot more linear. I see on your Cazador there is a curve in the wales and the gunports. I think the changes I am doing will accentuate this a little more. I need to relook my measurements and check it does not make this too curved. It will look rather silly. I have been sent some documents from Frank which gives a design for an Italian Xebec from a slightly earlier period than the Cazador and I will check these out tonight and see if I need to change my thought process. My wood working skills are not up to trying to replicate a specific vessel rather I'm just making a Xebec by choosing certain aspects from various designs. I'm going to keep it simple though. Too much will end up a disaster and result in tossing my Xebec into the bin. Cheers GrantI understand the green lines for your hullplanking. It is possible, keep in mind this is a mid-18th century vessel. The curvature of the wales are a bit less comparing to say early 17th century ships. However, it's still possible to do so. The natural curve of the bulkheads allready follows your green lines a bit...
