The wales are a very important part of the build, and your first ones look very good on the ship. I will continue to follow your progress.

Today I continued with the construction of the wale, when this time I prepare the two upper panels, each consisting of 3 parts.
I decided that one side of it I would keep the natural color of the wood and on the other side the wale would be black and yellow similar to the Maarten model.
I'm a bit tired so I'll let the pictures reflect the slight progress.

Dear Paul
thank you for your concern, believe me that the decision was made after a difficult deliberation, however the desire to allow a person/child who will view the model to be impressed by the work and even learn about the structure of the ship in an optimal way is what contributed greatly to the decision.
I admit that the decision is not easy for me either and I am afraid of the quality and precision of the cutting, I promise to do it with maximum care and precision. Thank you dear friend :)

Hi Shota,

See below the saw set I have. The larger blades are realy thin and perfect for the job.

Now it is your mind, no way back……… But you will certainly succeed, Shota.
You have already thought about it and you will certainly develop it further.
Maarten did it, I did it …….. and it’s ‘not really surprising’ that it works. With a good and rigidly constructed hull, it’s ‘simply possible’.

Hello dear friends
In the last few days I had to focus on taking care of a relative who was hospitalized (we are here on vacation because of the holidays). Unfortunately, he is expected to stay there for a few more days and I take care of him every day.
Today I sat down to clear my head and soul by going back to building the ship - the wale.
I completed the installation of the first three rows on the side that I will leave in natural cherry wood color, I applied natural wax on it.

Later on, I painted the boards of the other side in deep yellow, as well as the board that was pasted a few days ago in black.
