Not sure which 45 deg. angles you mean. Here are a few close look pictures. Joint precision is achieved with precision small disc sander, the chopper and sanding sticks.

I got shorted on so much stuff.... the guys on the stern,, the ornamental below them,,, the braided rope around the perimeter... How many rolls of rigging string did you get... All I got was 4, all goldish yellow and all 4 different tones....and none of the thicknesses that are in the instructions. I know I can purchase these items else where... I have been following your build adamantly....Fortunately, I have enough rigging string left over from other builds.... I've come to the conclusion, I'm not going to spend anymore $ on this build and use what I have
Hi ken s, all that I made from scratch on my own. Kit did not include decent alternatives.
Basically, there were no alternatives... I was extremely disappointed with Mamoli... typical...

I used some transparent plastic sheet.
The puritans of historical authenticity may be outraged. I highlighted with gold colour the beautification elements top board of the ship. Personally I believe these elements were intended to highlight the beauty of this ship. They are not shining today on real ship only due to lack of funds. They could have been highlighted in the past but it was not recorded.

Improvised Thickness sander for small planks
Here is a video of my improvised thickness sander. It just occurred to me I do not need buying expensive thickness sanders when I can use what I already have. I just occasionally need to reduce small plank thickness.
