Bell tower was repainted a few times but was not rebuilt. It just was not yet glued in. New elements are 8 posts with sheaves. Tower is for better view of new elements.

Stanchions for guard railing around main hatch. This time I turned them by a specially made tool. Also see a new use for a drill stand. I used it with diamond disc to make the cutting tool.

Thanks to Jimsky’s advice I went to Fabric Land store at my plaza and purchased a hammock material for the model. This fabric is called Tulle and I found the one that is exactly the proper scale. A piece that will last me a lifetime cost me $1 and 25 cents. I am delighted. I wasn’t hoping I would ever find a proper material.

The balustrade was recreated per this well known drawing. Note that on real ship the hammock hold brackets were penetrating through this railing down to the bottom in order to reinforce the structure.

When I sit down to cruise the surf of posts it is hit or miss whether first on or last. . . matter of luck and coincidence.
