Hohenzollernmodell 1660-1670 Scale 1/75 POF build by Stephan Kertész (Steef66)

Wow, great result, Stephan. How did you get the round pearls? They look flawless.
These are CUP BURS you can buy them in different sizes.

They leave a round part inside the wood. So you need to take away the excessive wood around it. But be careful, they want to wandering around on the wood.

There is also another type but that is better to use on metal to give a round end on a brass thread for example. Like the shape of a rivet.

This morning I was early awake and after I took the dog for a walk I couldn't wait to start carving. The crown is with the help of David Bowie ready, better to say I stop adjusting and fine tuning it. Because I can do more harm then good when I go on. The first 3 pictures are normal pictures the rest is macro and show more detail and things you cant see in real.

IMG_5027.JPGIMG_5028.JPGIMG_5029.JPGIMG_5030.JPGIMG_5031.JPGIMG_5032.JPGIMG_5033.JPG

And then we go bezerk on the manes, these are way to big/wide and need a little adjustment. Testing my new home-made sanding cone. That goes fast.

IMG_5034.JPGIMG_5035.JPGIMG_5036.JPG

And now we can reshape the manes and see what comes out of it. Maybe I'll making again a movie.
Thanks for your visit.

Feline royalty! Lovely work my friend.
Thanks Paul, I can tell you a story about such a Feline cat:
Blacky a black Labrador and Felix a calico cat had both died and arrived at heaven's gate. Peter was waiting there on his throne and when Blacky arrived he asked if he had been a good dog. ‘Yes indeed ‘Blacky replied, ’Always played with my master, got the paper and been a loyal friend to him.’ And you Felix? asked Peter.
‘You sit in my chair’ said Felix the cat.

Bravo Stephan.

Bravo Stephan.
Thanks Grant
@all thanks for the likes and watching that "boring"(?) video. I'm not good in pictures and movies. Like I said before but carving goes better.
Yesterday no time and today a little, but enough to let you see a big update.
The upper arms are ready and on the side the torso. The other side only the contour.
Enjoy the pictures and thanks again for your visit.

That’s looking very good, Stephan. He is already getting some characteristic age. In my opinion he deserves a slightly larger crown. This one is now a bit ‘insignificant.’

Thanks all for the visit, likes and comments.
If I tell you that I'm surprised about the outcome. I didn't expected this as result. I need to make the legs and tail on the back to finish it. But the upper part is now finally ready. I did a few adjustments, removed scratches and polish some parts.
The back I leave now for what it is because there will be a big part that come behind the parts of the galleon. I think that parts of the back need to removed to get it fit in.
Enjoy the pictures and thanks for reading my log.
