Kingfisher 1770 1:48 POF

There was one more 'bottom of the hold' structure that I needed to complete before turning my attention to the lower deck beams (and everything associated with them): the well house / shot locker. Rather than bore you with words, here is the progression over several work sessions...

Preparing to make some walls:

And now nearly completed:

And finally on the ship (everything needs final fitting):

I left this side open in the hopes that some the details will be visible:

I can't decide whether to include nails / fasteners or not. Whatever I do here I'll need to continue on future parts of the build-out, so I need to think this through some more (learned my lesson from starting treenails ROTF). Thanks for visiting! I love following your work!
A resounding commotion of "Wow, Wow, WOW" great work. ------ Wish my dentist could do such great work on my teeth rather than charge like a wounded bull. -

In my opinion the answer is quite simple. You have started to install treenails in the planking, so it is really inconsequent now to stop installing treenails.
Do not forgot to install nails on the hinges. There are also treenails in the planking missing ... ;)

Now begins the fun part. With all the details the ships begins to live. Really precise work and progress

You made a very nice looking box, Paul.

About this: you can put tiny dots with your sharp soft lead/graphite pencil so simulate the iron nails. Try it on a test piece, it’s easy to handle and you can pont a lot of them in a minute. (Did it also on my Bluenose. But I had not always sharpened the point sufficiently there. )
Regards, Peter

Dear Paul. What can I say? Each time I am looking (I read the last 15 pages), I see that you are consistently adjusting the goalposts upwards; upwards and further upwards - totally out of reach of mortal souls! "Magnificent" doesn't cut it, "brilliant" neither; "Beyond compare" comes closest. May you continue on this journey and bring us the happiness and awe to which we have become so accustomed.
