Modelship Dockyard - New Kit [Modelship Dockyard] PoF H.M.S. Enterprize 1774, the 1/48 version!

Hi folks, sorry for the long waiting, we are working hard on the Enterprize production, here are some updates:

The size of the Enterprize project is truly more enormous than we think, which has led us to underestimate the time needed for production. We are currently working hard to expedite production and gradually deliver the kits to all players. Of course, we won't sacrifice quality control for speed. We have fully absorbed the lessons learned from some previous kits and have inspected both sides of each board sheet to ensure that everyone can build without unnecessary obstacles.

While producing, we are also constantly working on the instructions. Given the Enterprize project's large scale and long modeling time, we aim to make the instructions as detailed as possible to enhance everyone's modeling experience. I will continue to update more instructions content in the post, as well as finished images of the pilot model.

The first batch of production is nearing its end, but most of this batch may be sold within China. On the one hand, we conducted pre-sales in China earlier this year, so we need to fulfill those pre-sales first. On the other hand, these players who receive the kits first can provide us with feedback on content and packaging, helping us optimize for a flawless overall experience.

To express our apologies, we will offer a discount to SOS players. You will be able to get a 10% off (for one purchase only). The specific details are still being finalized, but we can confirm that the discount percentage and the number of discounted kits will be no less than ten.

We apologize again for the waiting, and we will be posting more updates here soon.

When do you expect the kits will be available for buyers outside the Chinese market? Will there be a waiting list?

This sounds very good and also the photos are very promising
Hard to wait .......

I have no idea what the answer is, but wouldn't the Enterprize 1774 have been issued with Coles pumps rather than the older design chain pumps with sprocket wheels?

Ha Ha - what an interesting subject - and it is a science by itself

If this information is correct, it will be the question, when these pumps were installed - I guess before the launch, otherwise it would be problematic if the hull is not fully watertight
But in principle I would be surprised, if the Enterprise would be the first ship receiving the Coles-Bentinck chain pump

Cole-Bentinck chain pump

Design for an improved ships chain pump by John Bentinck FRS (1737-1775), British Navy Captain, and William Cole. Sectional elevation, 1:24 scale. From Smeaton volume 2, fol. 117. A patent (no. 982) was granted for the design on 17 January 1771 for chain pumps for raising water out of ships. The 'Cole-Bentinck' pump was adopted for use in all Royal Navy ships.

Point well taken Karl! Good grief I hate when a particular item came into use right about the year our subject model was launched. Much like cannon patterns. Did it have Armstrongs or Armstrong Fredericks if launched in 1760, the year the AF came into use. Surely there were Armstrongs still around after 1759 that had to be used rather than thrown away or melted down when the Armstrong Fredericks were introduced, but no way to know which ships got which pattern as far as I have been able to find.

Very interesting kit - POF HMS Enterprise in 1:48 - what do you need more?

In the following topic you will find some historical information about the ship and the class as well as some contemporary drawings of the ship

This is the build I’ve been looking for. Where do I get one?

hello, not sure if the following is indicated somewhere but I was wondering if there has been a price set for this?
