Nikitin San Bartolome 1584 A.D. (Kit #35)

An update after negotiating with the Admiral. She is willing to share a small space by the basement backdoor so I can start the hull fairing. She said she would be glad to operate the backdoor so I could step outside and sand. Hmm. I’m thinking maybe the next couple of days should be devoted to working in my little upstairs shipyard ——BECAUSE THIS IS THE LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST—- The cold snap starts Wednesday afternoon and ends Sunday morning.

No sir, Jan is no dummy. Working inside at 70F is a lot easier. The fairing can wait.

Good morning Jan....Just do it...send us a pic of what is like to fair your model in the snow ROTF . Cheers Grant

I am waiting for this kit to arrive and am just curious - do you have all the instructions yet, or are you still waiting for more?
I currently have two sets of instructions. A binder with 106 pages and a PDF download with another 20 pages. There are more instructions being worked on and will be sent out when Pavel completes them.

Thanks Pathfinder. It seems weird to send out the model without finishing the instructions, but it will be a while before I get to this model anyway as I am working on the Revenge now. Hopefully the instructions will be done before I start the San Bartolome!

I think when you do start to work on the Galleon, the first 100 plus pages of instructions will keep you busy for a bit. I was only going to assemble the build jig back in October and haven’t done much work on my other builds since then.ROTF

Yes, I noticed that your initial minor start turned into a full-fledged build! It seems like such a unique build that I can see how that happened. I will have to see if I will be able to hold back when it arrives!

Stay safe my friend. They would probably have buried me by now! Time to spend indoors, reading your book!
The temperature is slowly climbing from very very very cold to very cold. I'm about halfway through "Icebound", fascinating reading. I'm glad you recommended the book.
